OUR MISSION

KIWIN’S, the 32nd District of Key Club International, is a student led community service club oriented around character, inclusiveness, leadership, and being caring. We aim to promote leadership development, to create better relations between our school faculty and Kiwanis members, and to create a more positive society through community service. La Quinta KIWIN’S, as one of the biggest KIWIN’S clubs in California, strives to be a family oriented club that betters the community through our service events. We fall under the Jet Division which is a larger branch of our family. In addition, under that division, we are also a part of the KIWIN'S district, or the 32nd district in Key Club International.

CLUB LEVEL

Each KIWIN'S club is required to hold weekly meetings to keep members informed on projects. Students elect officers each year or semester. The Club Board of Directors, consisting of officers and/or chairpersons, determine the Club's various service deeds and delegates authority to committees and members.

DIVISIONAL LEVEL

Each of the nine KIWIN'S Divisions (Crystal, Diamond, Emerald, Goldstone, Jade, Jet, Ruby, Sapphire, Turquoise, Coral (inactive), and Topaz (inactive) is headed by a Lieutenant Governor who functions on the Divisional and District level. The LTG is responsible for the welfare of clubs in the division. By holding Divisional Council Meetings, members from all the clubs in that Division are able to come together to discuss Divisional and District business. Club officers are trained and divisional projects are also planned.

DISTRICT LEVEL

The District Board members consist of the nine Lieutenant Governors, Technology Chair, District Convention Chair, Membership Development and Education Chair, Awards and Rocognition Chair, Kiwanis Family and Foundation Chair, and the Executive Board consisting the District Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Bulletin Editor. Each division has its own Kiwanis Regional Advisor and the District has its District Administrator. Above the District level is the International level, where the KIWIN'S District and other Key Club Districts are collectively called Key Club International.
